Hunting areas

In order to advance in experience levels in Tibia a player must kill monsters. Every time a player kills a monster he or she will gain experience points. When that player reach's X amount of experience points they will advance in level. See the experience table for how many points you will need for each level.

Many people wonder how these high levels gain so much experience in such a short period of time. Well the answer is easy - they kill monsters that yield lots of experience points in a short amount of time. They spend more time killing than they do walking and waiting about for a re spawn.

Take a level 50 elite knight with skills 75/75 as an example - we will call him Dave Knight. Dave Knight has 3 hours spare time one evening and decides he wants to go hunting. Dave has two options:

Hunting option one - he can go hunting with his two friends and block a single dragon spawn - where they get to kill one dragon every 15 minutes. If Dave Knight chooses this option he will gain approximately 2,800 experience points (estimating that each 3 of those players share the exact amount of exp from a dragon).

Hunting option two: Dave knight can go power game on his own to ankrahmun and find a Scarab cave and hunt Scarabs for a solid 3 hours. If Dave chooses this option he will gain approximately 75,000 experience points (estimating that he makes 25k exp each hour).

Now if we compare both hunting options, Dave knight would make approximately 26 times more experience if he went to a scarab cave than if he went to hunt dragons with his friends. Although option two might not be as much fun as option one - it definitely has it's rewards. Dave knight will have more levels, more skills and more tibia gold and he will soon be able to block Dragon Lords for his friends soon!
